Singleton Wealdland and Downland Museum

It takes about thirty minutes to drive, and is approximately fourteen miles from the pub.

The museum is set in 50 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. The museum has a collection of over 40 regional historic buildings which have been rescued from destruction and carefully rebuilt and restored to their original form. The buildings range from medieval times up until the Victorian era. The buildings that can be visited range from a Tudor farm, a 17th century watermill a millpond and the toll house.

The museum is a great day out for families and children providing the weather is good.

Opening hours

The museum is open daily from the beginning of March to the end of October. Opening hours are from 10.30am to 6pm.

Location

The museum is located not far from Bognor, Chichester, Midhurst, Haslemere and Guildford. The museum can be reached by car and bus. Car parking is free.

Unfortunately there are no aids for the disabled.

The millpond picnic area is perfect for group or family picnics. A meal can be enjoyed in the timber framed medieval hall.

There is a gift and book shop available.

Dogs on leads are welcome.
