Goodwood Festival of speed

The festival of speed is approximately seventeen miles and takes around forty minutes from the pub, accommodation is available when the event takes place, although it is advisable to telephone to check for availability.

Goodwood features the greatest revival of motor cars and motor car racing. A day packed full of racing action for cars and motor cycles. Before the day begins, the mechanics prepare all the cars. In the morning the practice for the races is held followed by racing in the afternoon. The circuit offers excellent views of the cars sliding around the circuit. The weekend hosts a programme of twelve car races and two motor cycle races and a spectacular air display with Spitfires, Mustangs and Hurricanes. The racing takes place over three days. All the famous racing car drivers are involved including past legends such as Stirling Moss.

Goodwood Festival of Speed is now established and combines an atmosphere with a unique occasion. It is easily the most exciting and interesting motor car event held in the world.

Location 

Goodwood is not far from Chichester, Arundel or Bognor Regis.

There are facilities for the disabled. There is a raised platform for those in wheelchairs and a car park specially for the disabled.

Children aged 12 years of age and under are admitted free however they must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs are allowed in the grounds or car parks. The car park is free.
